Two shows from our childhood are getting rebooted, and it’s going to be under the hands of the original series creator!
Craig McCracken is breathing new life into his two greatest works “Powerpuff Girls” and “Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends” to delight all the young fans who’ve grown up with the shows and to entertain and educate a new generation of kids.
This “Powerpuff Girls” reboot is not to be confused with the 2016 revival which ran for three seasons on Cartoon Network. McCracken had no part in the making of the series as he was working for Disney at the time. Now that it’s back under his care, we can expect to experience the authentic “Powerpuff Girls” originality, with old foes and familiar faces as well as new ones.
Meanwhile, the “Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends” reboot will introduce all-new characters intended for an audience of preschool-aged children. It’s unknown if the characters we’ve come to love, like Bloo, Wilt, Coco, Eduardo, and Cheese, will be making their appearances, but we’ll keep holding onto hope that they will.
McCracken, who launched his career as an art director for Hanna-Barbera Cartoons, will be developing both reboots for Hanna-Barbera Studios Europe. He also created Disney XD’s “Wander Over Yonder” and Netflix’s “Kid Cosmic.”
