Avicii’s “Waiting for Love” just hit 1 billion streams on Spotify! Martin Garrix marked the milestone by posting a message to his co-producer of the song.

“I miss you Avicii,” he wrote on Facebook tagging the departed Swedish DJ. With this achievement, Garrix only has one more wish. “Waiting for love reached 1 billion streams today and I wish we could celebrate it together,” he wrote. The Dutch producer also attached some of their snaps together.

The hit EDM song was released in May 2015 as the lead track from Avicii’s second studio album, “Stories.” It features vocals from Cherry Ghost’s former lead singer Simon Aldred, who also wrote its lyrics.

It can be recalled that Martin Garrix released his first-ever club album called “Sentio” last April.

Meanwhile, Avicii passed away at the age of 28 in April 2018.
